We were asked by Nikken to create a logo animation for them that reflected what they do. Nikken manufacture metal cutting tools that are used to create a wide variety of cool products including Apple iPhone & iMac, along with parts for Formula 1 racing cars and Passenger Jets. Our logo animation shows a block of metal being carved by a Nikken tool which results in a 3D embossed Nikken logo.

Pixel DNA have just created some whizzy graphics for a new TV campaign to advertise the kids board-game ‘5 Second Rule’. The aim of the game is to name three things, such as breeds of dogs, or things that are yellow, before the timer gets to 5 seconds. Our graphics illustrated the fast pace of the ball bearings whizzing down the spiral timer!

We are very excited about a project we’ve been asked to get involved in that will use Augmented Reality to mix the real world and the computer generated world together. Augmented reality is way of generating real time movement of computer generated imagery within the real world, therefore allowing users to interact live with 3D objects that react in real time to a users movements or actions. Our friends at Molinare asked us to create a blinged up verson of the Zoosk heart. Zoosk is a popular new dating website. The heart was created in 3D and given a Ruby Crystal look and feel. Happy Valentines day!

PPG & Johnstone’s Paint recently got in touch to see if we could help them create a generic 3D football Stadium illustration for inclusion in one of their new brochures. Of course we obliged, and the finished result was a combination of 3D and 2D illustration, created at hi-res for use on a
pullout A3 poster.

Pixel DNA have recently worked with retailers of framed prints and canvases ‘Magnolia Box’, to help illustrate the key selling points to a number of main product ranges sold on their website. The main four videos are an example of how animation and video can easily feed an audience with information in an eye-catching an interesting way.
